As a scouting service, our job is to provide a professional arena for you, as a new and potential client, to be seen by a wide variety of industry leaders. Our job is not to get you the contract—it is to present you with the opportunity to land a contract for yourself, based on your unique attributes and abilities. People who believe scouting companies are responsible for getting you work also believe that agents get actors and models jobs. It is up to you, as an individual, to get the position based on what you have to offer.
So you're probably thinking, "Why can't I do this myself?" And you know, maybe you can. BUT be prepared to spend thousands of dollars traveling and hours of your time waiting. Waiting not only for a chance to get in the door, but also for a chance to even be seen once you've made your way through the door.
Of course, you can send in your photo and hope that someone will give you a shot. But, even in the rare event that your photo is chosen from the thousands of images that are sent to agencies, is that really all you want to offer—a photo and a resume?
At National Discovery Network, we know that you have more to offer than just a pretty face and some experience. We encourage you to use your unique personality traits and special characteristics to let a potential agent get to know the real you. Having the opportunity to meet with many agents at once will save you money and give you the chance to sell yourself. You believe that you or your child has that special something to be successful in this business, and we want you to take this opportunity to show it off.
We cannot guarantee what will happen with your career, but what we can guarantee is that if you make it through our search screening process, you will have the chance to meet with not one, but at least a dozen agents. Yes, there is a fee involved once you make it through the screening process, but again, where else would you have the opportunity to meet with agents from around the country and have the chance to show off yours or your child's talents face to face?
